Leanne’s career in the performing arts began at age three in her hometown of Coos Bay, Oregon where her Grandmother owned her own dance studio, and inspired Leanne to study dance and the performing arts, which continues to this day.
Leanne began her acting career at the Lee Strasbourg Institute in Los Angeles. While working in sales for a Russian software company for seven years, Leanne pursued acting. She eventually returned to her home state of Oregon where she put herself through school by working full time while completing her B.A. in Business at Portland State University. She also completed a 6-month graduate certificate at the Sorbonne in Paris in International Studies. She works as an actor in film and television and is also active in Oregon politics. She served as a volunteer for Mercy Corps, has managed state senate campaigns, and works with legislators and community leaders to promote the jobs for Oregonians and works directly with those who wish to pursue work in the performing arts and the film industry.
Most recently Leanne landed a co-starring role on TNT’s LEVERAGE, starring Timothy Hutton, under the direction of Jonathan Frakes. She works in independent film and one of her most memorable stage roles was in Lee Blessing’s “Two Rooms.”
She feels very lucky to reside in Oregon and is surrounded by incredibly talented artists, her large extended family and friends, and her supportive husband and her little peach, her 4 year old boy, Johnny. |
